Marketplace Terms

Last updated 9 June 2026

Draft — pending legal review. This is placeholder wording surfaced by the product; the final terms will be reviewed and finalised by counsel before public launch.

These terms govern buying and selling music through Beat ID. Beat ID is the platform that facilitates the sale; the artist (DJ) is the seller of their music. By purchasing or selling you agree to these terms.

1. Selling & content rights

Sellers must hold all rights to the audio they upload and sell, and affirm this at publish. You may not upload content you do not own or are not licensed to distribute. Beat ID takes a platform fee on each sale and pays the remainder to the seller's connected Stripe account.

2. Prohibited content

No infringing, unlawful, hateful, or fraudulent content. Beat ID may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

3. Refunds

Digital downloads are generally non-refundable once delivered. Refunds are available within 14 days only for eligible reasons (corrupted file, wrong track, accidental duplicate, or platform error). See the Refund Policy for full details.

4. Copyright / DMCA & takedowns

Rights-holders may request removal of infringing content. Send notices to legal@beatid.me with the work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact details. Beat ID will review and action valid notices, unpublishing the content and notifying the seller.

5. Tax

Applicable VAT/sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout via Stripe Tax and remitted by Beat ID. Prices are shown inclusive of tax where required (e.g. the EU/UK).

6. Liability & changes

The service is provided "as is." Beat ID may update these terms; material changes will be surfaced before they take effect. Questions: hello@beatid.me.
